Our company was established by former
members of the South African Police Services.
The Managing Director, Freddie van Wyk
A former Lieutenant–Colonel in the South
African Police Services, served in the Crime Intelligence
Section, Commander of VIP Protection Services and Detective
Branch in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa and
gained 32 years police experience in his field of service.
He holds a National Diploma in Policing and has several
qualifications in VIP protection, security management and
scuba diving.
He holds an instructor's accreditation with
the South African Security Officers Board and holds an
international VIP protection qualification with the Ronin
Protective Services. He is a member of the
International Police Association (IPA). He earned service
medals for 30 years' completed service and combating
terrorism.
The Operational Director, Paddy Conway
A former Lieutenant-Colonel in the South
African Police Services, served in the Crime Intelligence
Section, Drug Enforcement Section and Detective Branch. He
holds a National Diploma in Policing and several
international qualifications in VIP protection obtained
during time deployed in foreign countries. He earned service
medals for combating terrorism and faithful service in the
South African Police Service and gained valuable experience
in the corporate and military environment over the last 5
years.
Our operatives
Our operatives have vast experience in close
VIP protection, having served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Executive Protective Services operatives, trained by Ronin
Protective services (SA), are based in South Africa,
Australia, Panama, United Kingdom and United States of
America for immediate deployment.
Our operatives' accreditation includes City
and Guilds (London) with level three certificates in close
protection, Edexel (First person on Scene) medical response
certificates and re-active training in defensive driving
tactics and special weapons and tactics from RONIN.
